1. Maharashtra Safety Awards Competition
To foster safety consciousness amongst industrial establishments, Since 1965, National Safety Council – Maharashtra Chapter has been organizing annually a Safety Awards Competition for the best performance in accident prevention in the factories situated in the State of Maharashtra.
2. Maharashtra Safety Slogan Competition
The Maharashtra Chapter annually organizes the Maharashtra Safety Slogan Competition by inviting prize-winning entries from member organizations’ Safety Slogan Competitions,are held as part of the National Safety Day/Week Celebration. Entries are accepted in three languages: English, Hindi, and Marathi.
3. Film-Video Contest On Safety
The Maharashtra Chapter organizes Film-Video Contest on Safety to effectively promote and reinforce a culture of safety within the organization. By encouraging employees to create compelling visual content, the Contest aims to raise awareness about the importance of adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
4. Three-Level Competition On Safety
The Maharashtra Chapter organizes a Three Level Competition on Safety to give recognition to individual safety personnel from Industrial undertakings for their safety performance in reduction of industrial accidents and occupational diseases. This is an innovative approach to assess the performance, capacity, knowledge, leadership skills, etc. of the workers, Supervisors/ Engineers & Managers at individual levels.
5. Best Safety Practices Awards Competition
The Best Safety Practices Award is one of the main elements of the Healthy Workplace Campaign and is designed to highlight the best examples of management and employees working together for accident prevention. The awards aim to demonstrate the benefits of subsequent Good Safety & Health Practices.
6. Environmental & Social Governance (ESG)
The environment, social and Governance competition initiated by NSC-MC aims to sensitize and create the interest of industries in initiating practices to reduce carbon and other pollutants in their industrials set ups and supporting health and ethical social and governance practices for the betterment of industrial workers and the societies surrounding them. It is a step towards attaining the SGD Goals through a concerted effort and competitions will motivate more and more industries to strive towards the same.
7. Street Play Competition
Street Play competitions in Industrial Health and Safety boosts creativity and tickle the creative nerve of the industrial artists. It also helps in bringing about creative solutions in a creative and thought provoking manner. These competitions get a very well acceptance and entries from the industries and companies.
8. Best Case Study Competition
NSC- MC envisions conducting best case study competition shortly so that the cases are analyzed and the best solutions to manage industrial hazards are identified and solicited. It is a way to assess best practices and award those who come up with the best solutions to address or manage various problems/issues arising out of the inefficiencies or an exceptional issue at the industrial set up. These case studies at time can prove to be lifelong lessons and can save lives and risk to properties.
